The Ohio District of Circle K International’s Governor’s Project is a district-wide initiative that brings CKI clubs together to support a shared cause throughout the service year.
For the 2026–2027 service year, the Governor’s Project is Beyond the Battle, which focuses on breast cancer awareness, support, and survivorship. Through this initiative, clubs across Ohio are encouraged to participate in service projects, fundraising, and educational activities that support individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
The project features quarterly challenges that give clubs opportunities to get involved, earn points, and make an impact in their communities. Activities range from wellness workshops and awareness campaigns to fundraisers and larger service initiatives.
Through Beyond the Battle, the Ohio District hopes to unite members across the state around a meaningful cause, encourage continued service, and recognize the strength and resilience of those affected by breast cancer.
How Can Clubs Participate?
All Ohio District CKI clubs are encouraged to participate in Beyond the Battle throughout the service year. Clubs can choose activities that best fit their members, resources, and communities while working toward a shared district-wide goal.
Clubs can participate by:
Completing quarterly challenges: Choose activities from the project’s challenge list and earn points toward the district competition.
Hosting service projects: Support patients, survivors, and families through care packages, community service, or partnerships with local organizations.
Raising funds: Organize fundraisers to support breast cancer awareness, research, and related organizations.
Promoting awareness: Share educational resources, host informational events, and encourage conversations about breast cancer.
Supporting survivorship: Create opportunities to recognize, encourage, and support individuals affected by breast cancer.
